VILLA SAFRANIER, A DREAM COME TRUE

Claude Hilt developed the rigour and demands of working with vines and wine in the thousand-year-old vineyards of Burgundy. He then realised his dream, together with some passionate friends, of having his own vineyard and producing wines according to his tastes. The project became a reality with the creation of the Villa Safranier, in the heart of the Rhône Valley. The land of the estate is located on the most beautiful terroirs of the village of Rasteau. In the past, saffron was grown on one of them, hence the name of the estate. Claude Hilt cultivates the vines according to the principles of organic farming. Today, the estate produces Côtes-du-Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Rasteau.

Much more than a winemaker, Claude Hilt is also a discoverer. One of his other passions is to seek out grape varieties from different vineyards that can match the style of his own vines, in order to create unique cuvées. This is the case of Folies Safranier, a collection born from his meeting with Isabelle Thomas, consulting oenologist.

LA FOLIE SAFRANIER, A WINE FROM THE MÉDITERRANÉE IGP

The Folies Safranier collection was born out of a desire to produce elegant, clean and pure wines. The aim of Claude Hilt and Isabelle Thomas is to share a modern vision of these wines. This collection includes a rosé wine, 10°5 "Le Rosé Parfum", made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes. Although the grapes used to make it come from the Côtes-du-Rhône wine region, this wine is classified as an Méditerranée IGP. It is distinguished by its low alcohol content, obtained through early hand-picking at the optimum balance of the grapes.

The grapes are directly pressed immediately after harvest. The juice obtained is then cooled and decanted. The clear juice is then separated from the cloudy parts. The must is fermented at a controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is racked and sulphited. The wine is then filtered during bottling.

10°5, THE ROSÉ PERFUME WITH ORIGINAL PACKAGING

The cuvée 10°5 from Folie Safranier is distinguished above all by its avant-garde packaging, with a sleek and elegant bottle design reminiscent of a famous perfumer. The bottles are made of fully reusable glass. Once the wine is finished, this beautiful container finds a second life as a vase. With its unparalleled aesthetics, the 10°5 from Folie Safranier is perfect for those wishing to offer an original gift.

In addition to the classic 75cl format, the cuvée is available in various formats, including Magnum and Jeroboam. Enough to impress your guests at large tables or receptions!

ROSÉ FOLIE SAFRANIER TASTING NOTES

In its original bottle with pure lines, the 10°5 from Folie Safranier collection combines delicacy, lightness and pleasure. The colour of this cuvée is a pale and brilliant pink.

Aromatic and intense, this wine reveals itself on the nose with scents of pink berries, grapefruit and lychees. It evolves on savoury notes of marjoram and wild rose, then develops aromas of sandalwood and cardamom.

A beautiful balance is present on the palate offering richness, roundness and freshness.
