LEAVE YOUR REVIEWNice blend!
Medium+ intensity nose of plum , blackberry , black cherry , raspberry , white pepper , violet, cocoa and hints of minerals!
Medium acidity, medium body with medium round tannins, medium flavour intensity, medium finish.
Great fruit, good structure but bit unbalanced.
This is very easy drinking without a harsh tannin taste. Lots of dark berries. Medium finish. Enjoyed it with cold cuts. A good, honest wine at a great price.
The last time I tasted a wine from this winemaker I was not impressed. However, after trying the Montagne noire 2017 I changed my mind completely. The richness and the body of this wine is unbelievable, I pair it with lamb meat and the result was hard to put in words. Amazing value for money!
A lovely Languedoc. Really warming and gentle with good tannins and fruit. It will reward you if you allow it to breathe and decant. Very grown up and delightful. I shall be buying some more.
Scrummy, yummy red. Paired perfectly with venison hunch steak and chips. And was also a delight to drink on its own after dinner. Warm and smooth. Responded well to being opened to breath for an hour before drinking
I love all the wines from this vineyard but the Montagne Noir represents the very best value of them all. Expressing the best qualities of each of its interesting blend of Rhone (Syrah, Grenache) and Bordeaux (Cabernet Franc) grapes this wine has nice fruit, a hint of spice and reasonable length.
Solid, but not spectacular at all. A little rough round the edges, quite strong, and with probably a bit of a clash in the mouth, at least it felt like it..
This goes down well with all our guests it’s fruity , long on the lips with no hint of bitterness. We have chosen it for our house wine.
A very satisfying wine, typical of the Midi. Robust and earthy, you can tell it comes from a hot climate. Concentrated flavour and lots of body. Good stuff.
Very nice good standard red wine, which can be enjoyed with lunch or dinner. Very nice palate and a pleasure to drink at any time of the day. Especially enjoy with friends and family at a social gathering.
This red wine from Carcassonne was a very pleasant surprise. It is rich and sophisticated despite its little known origin and low price. Tobacco, berries and spices are distinct, but not aggressive. A great value for money.
I bought this wine because it is a medal winner and i must say it is a very worthy winner. i shall certainly buy this again. Please enjoy this wine as I have
A nice clean red wine and easy drinking. Not as rich or heavy as you may expect but still a full body finish. Great with a nice tomato sauce dish or red meat
This will be a perfect vine within 2-3 years, but at this moment it is little bit unfinished. You can taste a green papper in the back. The smell is complex and fruitfull, but you can feel, that this is a relative fresh vine.
This is very easy drinking without hard tannins. Lots of dark berries with a slight hint of eucalyptus? Medium finish. A simple, good, honest wine at a very good price.
