Very good Pomerol, with notes of oak, chocolate and black fruits. Great elegance with silky tannins. More modern in its approach than the traditional classified growths of Pomerol. A delight!more reviews

A great wine for laying down, this splendid Château Rouget is pure style!
Neighbouring the Église-Clinet and occupying similarly worthy terroirs, Château Rouget spares no effort in elevating the estate to the top of the Pomerol appellation. With their finely-bouqueted wines, which are among the greatest and combine power and elegance, there is no doubt that it is as close as ever to its goal, even with its very reasonable pricing policy. This vintage, which deserves to wait a little longer, is quite simply sumptuous... Seductive but balanced, it should age with style! Rounded tannins and a silky finish... Stock up!!

CHÂTEAU ROUGET

Benefiting from terroirs of equal quality as its illustrious neighbours (Eglise-Clinet, Pétrus and La Croix de Gay), Château Rouget has witnessed the quality of its wine improve considerably since the Labruyère family acquired it in 1992. The estate now hovers around the top of the Pomerol appellation while still working with a very reasonable pricing structure. Undoubtedly one of the finest deals from this appellation!
