CÔTE DE BROUILLY CUVÉE MATHILDE COURBE 2017 - CHÂTEAU DES RAVATYS

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Beaujolais / Côte de Brouilly AOC / 13 % vol / 100% Gamay

A cuvée created specially as a homage to the great woman at the origin of this fabulous estate!
This juvenile Côte de Brouilly exhibits very fine qualities, from the attack showing breadth and a fruity body marked by a very pleasant acidic vivacity. As it develops, substance appears in force, exhibiting great harmony. The whole is convincing and well-balanced, with juicy substance and elegant tannins that will develop favourably. Lovely persistence in the spices and maturation notes, which underscore the end-palate. A real success!

CHÂTEAU DES RAVATYS

Owned by the Institut Pasteur in Paris, the Château des Ravatys was bequeathed in 1937 by its generous donor Mathilde Courbe. Built in the middle of the 19th century, the buildings have been completely renovated and offer a peaceful setting in the middle of a park with hundred-year-old trees. The 29 hectare vineyard produces two of the best Beaujolais vintages: Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly. Today it is one of the most important estates in Beaujolais. All profits from the sale of the estate's wines and the château's activities are donated to the Institut Pasteur to support research in the service of people and their health.
