LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA Bordeaux as we like them: no big surprise, but still just as good! Very well rated by the way, it is undoubtedly a great value for money. Strong aromas of red fruits on the nose and on the palate, it's great wit grilled meats, take out the barbecues!
A sumptuous wine, Merlot with Cabernet Franc, it becomes very complex with aromas of blackberries and cassis, woody for an excellent finish. Good value for money.
Beautiful delicious wine, great color and taste!
I would love to order this wine again, my friend were all happy about this wine , fits to almost all dishes !
Pitray Castle has a total of 100 hectares comprising a third of meadows, a third of forest and a third of vines. Its architecture looks great with its battlements and machicolations, and has its origins in the 14th century. The Pitray vineyard covers exactly 36 hectares in one piece on the clay-limestone plateau of Gardegan, facing south, 8 km as the crow flies from the bell tower of St-Emilion. It is planted with Merlot (73%), Cabernet Franc (23%) and Malbec (4%). The vines, with an average age of 30 years, produce a great wine bearing the Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation which is very successful every year.
