LEAVE YOUR REVIEWNice second from the well known Chateau of Graves! However, I miss some freshness & palate intensity! However, it delivers black fruit, raspberry, leather & tobacco! Medium nose, medium intensity on the palate & soft tannins!
A second wine from Pope Clement that does not fail to live up to its reputation as a fine, fruity wine of great quality. Still deserves a bit of waiting and needs a good airing. In short, a very good value for money.
With its vineyard established in the 13th century, Château Pape-Clément is the flagship of Bernard Magrez's vineyards and is clearly one of the oldest Grands Crus in Bordeaux. To create these immense wines, archetypes of the great, luxury Bordeaux wines, nothing is left to chance - optimal grape ripening, hand destalking, highly curated ageing and so on. The result is distinctive red for the Pessac-Léognan appellation with a sensuality close to that of Mission Haut-Brion wines. And white wines with an exemplary finesse.
