CHATEAU LE PIAT 2015

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux wine / Côtes de Bourg AOC / 12,5 % vol

This is a well made wine with plenty of character yet not too heavy on the alcohol. The rounded fruit qualities of the merlot are well held in check by the tannins, oak and presumably terroir to produce a dry good quality mouthful. As a result it is great with food and cheese.more reviews

Intended for ageing, this Merlot-dominated blend is a real success
This Château Le Piat is above all the product of a terroir and of winegrowers united by a shared vision of their passion. Delicacy and elegance are therefore the key words for this Merlot-Cabernet blend, vinified and matured 8 to 12 months in selected oak barrels. This lends this Côtes de Bourg pleasant vanilla notes and elegant tannins that are beginning to soften. The whole remains magnificently rich, velvety and balanced. This Château Le Piat will be the ideal companion for a nice piece of grilled red meat or a more sophisticated dish with sauce. Definitely THE great buy among Côtes de Bourg!
