CHAMPAGNE BOLLINGER - VIEILLES VIGNES FRANÇAISES 2007

0,75 L White Champagne / Champagne AOC / 12 % vol / 100% Pinot noir

An exceptional Champagne for an exceptional time.
Three vineyard plots of the Bollinger Champagne house survived Phylloxera at the end of the nineteenth century. From these old vines is born this sublime Blanc de Noirs, Les Vieilles Vignes Françaises, the vessel of a memory almost lost: an extraordinary, affecting memory of the estate's heritage. Indeed, this Champagne represents the excellence of the Bollinger winery and of the entire Champagne region. The Bollinger winery produced 3886 bottles of the 2007 vintage of Vieilles Vignes Françaises, all of which are numbered. An unswerving success that even seduced Her Majesty's secret agent, James Bond, who savours some in every one of his adventures.

CHAMPAGNE BOLLINGER

More than a great Champagne, Bollinger is a great wine. It is because everything here starts in the vineyards; where the requirement of excellence rules the selection of crus. With 163 hectares, Champagne Bollinger operates in over 60% of its own vineyard to the need of its vintages - an absolutely exceptional situation in Champagne - which guarantees the qualitative continuity of style. The same requirement governs the selection of crus. Bollinger stocks over 80% in Grand and Premier Crus, which only represents 20% of the number of wines of the appellation. The quality of selected grapes justifies Bollinger's exclusive use of the cuvée, which means the first press at the time of the harvest. Another exception in Champagne.
