Produced mostly using grapes from vines over 40 years old, Les Darons (slang for The Fathers) is aptly named! Charming with its fruity and spicy bouquet, balanced and powerful, it contains lightly toasted nuances (though aged in barrels) which offer exquisite depth and generosity. A robust and confident wine suitable for those who have sufficient bottle to appreciate the good things in life!
I thought this wine was overrated. Some amazing reviews but you can do better at this price point. Great fruit aromas but the tannins feel just a little harsh. more reviews

It may not be the most expensive wine, and the label may not impress your wine snob friends but it delivers great taste and is less than £10. Great with red meat or cheese!
Surprise your guests and choose Rocaille! Rocaille red from the Capitoul winery is a little gem of the appellation that makes way for abundantly fresh and complex aromas framed by dark fruit and roasted flavours. An indulgent, crisp wine that will seduce the greatest lovers of Languedoc-Roussillon wines with its aromas as well as with its very surprising quality for the price. Tip: carafe it or let it age so that you can appreciate all its mouthwatering flavours, which will go perfectly with all your meat or cheese dishes. A treat!

Each year, the Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau prove that quality is not measured by the price of the bottle. Here's the proof with Le Cirque: at less than 5, you can enjoy a light and delicious Languedoc Roussillon wine. The fruit is there accompanied by more complex notes of tapenade and liquorice that tickle the palate with delight. An ideal party wine, to serve chilled in summer and enjoy spontaneously!

LEAVE YOUR REVIEWBought this when it was on special as a mixed case. Thought there were superb whites in the mix at a very good price and the reds I like anyway so got this as price per bottle was too good to miss.
