Produced mostly using grapes from vines over 40 years old, Les Darons (slang for The Fathers) is aptly named! Charming with its fruity and spicy bouquet, balanced and powerful, it contains lightly toasted nuances (though aged in barrels) which offer exquisite depth and generosity. A robust and confident wine suitable for those who have sufficient bottle to appreciate the good things in life!
If you can forget about labels, grand crus and other scorings you should really try this wine. It's young, very fresh and powerful, loaded with fruit flavours and very enjoyable. Very beautiful dark ruby colour, medium body. I did enjoy myself. Very easy to drink.more reviews
