A pleasant surprise indeed. Just a hint of pepper, not too robust and with a nice smooth finish. I would happily drink this on it's own or with a decent steak.
For more than a century, the legend of Casillero del Diablo has held the interest of the press. This 100% Carménère (a Bordeaux variety that has come into full bloom on Chilean soil) offers delicious aromas of girolle mushrooms and ripe redcurrants, combined with chocolate flavours nuanced with roasted coffee. Its exemplary balance, its mellowness and its structure invite pairings with traditional dishes or grilled meat. A lovely introduction to the wines of Chile.
A very difficult Casillero del Diablo to find in the UK.
A very pleasant change to the usual Casillero wines we see over here.
A little smoother than their other wines.
For me, possibly their best grape.more reviews

Fantastic servis but the Malbec was first class . The delivery was on time and the communication easy and punctual. We enjoy this wine with red meat . Fantastic with steaks from any red meat .more reviews

Crimson coloured, indistinct nose apart from heady alcohol and slight red-fruit tone. Sweetly plum and raspberry entry, definitely fruit-forward. Hot alcohol tone, which seems to drive the spicy afterburn. Approachable but ultimately a bit unbalanced.
Here is all the subtlety and elegance of the king of Argentine varietals: The Malbec! The nose has intense aromas of black fruits, earth and fine leather. The palate is beautiful, the silky tannins perfect, rich and ripe with a beautiful fresh finish. You will love this beautifully crafted Argentine!
Torrontes offers delicate aromas of exotic yellow fruits, the gift of this iconic Argentine grape. Its wonderful balance makes it a white wine of great elegance. A magnificent standard-setter for Bodega Piedra Negra, which brings us this veritable explosion of flavours. Serve it blind - your guests will be more than charmed!!!
