RIEDEL, The content determines the shape of the glass! Georg RIEDEL asserts that creating a glass has more to do with the experience of great tasters than with sketches on a drawing board. The interest in wine is, in the first place, dictated by colour, bouquet and taste. But glass is often not seen as an instrument capable of getting the message across. RIEDEL's experience has highlighted the relationship between the shape of a glass and the perception of the bouquet and taste of wines and spirits. The same wine looks so different in different glass shapes that even experienced tasters think that they are different wines. The grape variety is the key factor that determines the relationship between fruit, acidity, tannin and alcohol. RIEDEL has shown that a wine of such a grape variety in such a glass looks better. It was beginning to understand the role of the size and shape of the glass in tasting. With Riedel glasses, your tasting experience will take on a new dimension.
