PENFOLDS BIN 169 CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018 - PENFOLDS

0,75 L Red Wine / Australia / South Australia / 14,5 % vol

"A stunning red, dense and fleshy and aromatic, with fine tannins and a symphony of detail." Wine Spectator
The Bin 169 Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the contemporary approach to winemaking, emphasising both the terroir and the maturation of the Cabernet Sauvignon in fine-grained French oak barrels. The Penfolds style is immediately recognisable, but this wine also illustrates the ongoing search for diversity and separation of styles. Typical of the region, it is a testament to Penfolds' enduring commitment to the vineyards of Coonawarra. The vintage has intense, fragrant notes on the nose. The aromas are reminiscent of crêpe Suzette with a hint of orange (Grand Marnier). On the palate, red fruits invade: raspberry, cranberry, redcurrant, rhubarb and a little blackcurrant. No deficit in the mid-palate, the acidity and delicacy of this Cabernet blossom deliciously. A perfect balance between richness and body. It has superb length.

PENFOLDS

Penfolds is more than a premium Australian estate, it is also a must-see and historic home. Created in 1844 by Christopher Rawson Penfold, this immense reference is above all one of the very first wine structures in the country. Today, its fame is well established and the property has 3000 ha of vines for a yield representing 2.5% of Australian production! A true reference on a global scale!
