MAGNUM POMMARD 1ER CRU CLOS DES EPENOTS 2014 - CHATEAU DE MEURSAULT

1,5 L Red Wine / France / Burgundy wine / Pommard Premier Cru AOC / 14 % vol / 100% Pinot noir

Burgundy 1er cru: and the quality is insured!
This Pommard meets all expectations! Coming from a truffle soil full of character, it offers a rich aromatic bouquet from which exhales notes of black fruits, spices and cloves along with an elegant woody side; indeed it has been aged in oak barrels for 15 months. The aromatic complexity continues on the palate and is framed by fruit flavours. The finish is remarkably well-balanced. Prestigious appellation + long cellaring potential = a wonderful red wine that promises an excellent tasting time!

CHATEAU DE MEURSAULT

The Château de Meursault is a piece of history, its origin dates back to the 11th century. Its wine-growing part was only developed in the 19th century by the Serre family. Since then, it has been a mecca for tourism and Burgundian folklore, since every year the famous Paulée is celebrated there the day after the sale of the Hospices de Beaune. The estate was bought in 2012 by Olivier Halley, a descendant of a pioneer of large retailers, the Boisseaux family remaining the owner of the 60 hectare vineyard, 23 of which are first growths. The estate offers a wide range of appellations from the Côte de Beaune: Pommard, Puligny, Savigny, Beaune, Meursault...
