CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC 2011 - SAINT-EMILION GRAND CRU - 1ER GRAND CRU CLASSE A

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé AOC / 14 % vol

"It is a super, complex, evolved Cheval Blanc that can be drunk now or cellared for 15+ years. Bravo!" Robert Parker
In the shadow of its two illustrious predecessors, Château Cheval Blanc benefits from a regular but not excessive dryness throughout the year. It is thus a very fine vintage, very classic and imbued with the philosophy of the estate, fine and delicate. The colour is a deep crimson red. The first nose immediately reveals its complexity. The expression of the aromas delivers a floral facet of violet and peony which evolves towards red fruit, raspberry and black cherry. This vintage is characterised by its brightness, its aromatic freshness, its precision and its clarity. In the mouth, the attack is ample. The mid-palate is full, rich, voluminous, voluptuous, with an interminable finish. The tannins are smooth, silky and elegant. On the palate, the balance is perfect. This wine leaves a beautiful aromatic return of fruit and freshness. The vintage is elegant and fine, complex and sensual. It is a perfect representation of the classic Cheval Blanc style and, even after several years of cellaring, it still has a great future.

CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC

To the northwest of Saint-Emilion, on the edge of Pomerol, the castle is distinguished by a stony and sandy soil located on a fertile terrace, instead of a limestone hillside. Its wines are characterized by undeniable richness, maturity and intensity. Deceptive by its amiable character in its youth, the wines of Château Cheval Blanc easily age 40 years, or even more! In 1954, Cheval Blanc obtained the classification of Premier Grand Cru Classé A, a supreme distinction that has since been confirmed in each decade.
