LEAVE YOUR REVIEWI chose this wine because it was an orange wine - a type of wine I had recently discovered existed. I liked it a great deal, like a white wine but with a deeper flavour. I drank it with quiche and salad for lunch, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but my companion felt it was too sweet.
Charming and complex dessert wine from South East of France. Nicely balanced, velvet taste of candied fruits, raisins and honey. Very floral aroma with notes of nuts (almonds, walnuts).
Highly recommended!
A good bargin between quality and price. Slightly whiskey like smokey but much more fruity sweet instead of syrup sweet like Ouzo or Sambuca. Fantastic treat after a rich dinner at home.
Perfect ambré, strong and fruity. Nice aperitif, we had it with comté and walnuts, a perfect pairing. We tasted different brands of muscat de rivesaltes ambré and this one is easily drinkable, not two sweet and a nice gift. The bottle is gorgeous
The Domaine Lafage has been a family estate since 1798 and characterises itself with 3 distinct and emblematic terroirs that best reflect Roussillon's soil diversity which the most renowned names from the area acknowledge and recommend. Jean-Marc Lafage has been the most awarded French independent vintner in the last 10 years at the prestigious Concours General Agricole de Paris, 24 of his wines have been mentioned in the famous Guide Hachette since 2009, even Robert Parker loved them! Discover the wines from this estate, it will be a revelation.
