'Another perfect wine in the constellation of profound wines produced by Michel Chapoutier.' - Robert Parker
This Pavillon exhibits a deep and intense red hue with glints of violet. The nose offers up an intense bouquet marrying red and dark fruit notes (raspberry, blackberry) with nuts (walnut), spices (liquorice) and empyreumatic notes (tar, smoke). As complex as ever on the palate, we also appreciate its powerful attack, velvety texture and subtle balance, all of which extend into a long, flavoursome finish. This is top-notch Chapoutier that you absolutely must keep in the cellar!

CHAPOUTIER - LES PARCELLAIRES

The wines from parcel selections from the house directed by Michel Chapoutier embody what the Rhône Valley produces best and deserve a special place. This biodynamic winemaking is produced in limited quantity from old vines. Ermitages (the old spelling), Crozes-Hermitages and Saint-Joseph are all mineral, straight and energetic wonders. It is also said that these Ermitages are the most impressive and passionnate wines of this appellation. And there is no doubt about that!
