François Villard, this self-taught man with a facetious and good-humoured look, has established himself as one of the greatest winegrowers of the Northern Rhône . He owes his status as a leader to his passion for the good, the land and a lot of feeling. Like a wine poet, he lets himself be inspired by his muses, the vintages, giving rise to the creation of new cuvées with witty names. At François Villard, the harvests are concentrated and late, reaching perfect maturity (but never over-ripeness) and making his Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Joseph among the best in the area. A true enthusiast, he is also one of the three founders of the Vins de Vienne.
