Château
Coutet is an ancient property of the De Lur-Saluces family and it remains one of the most renowned of the
Sauternes-Barsac appellation. This beautiful vineyard extends over 35 hectares in the commune of Barsac. In Sauternes appellation, this wine has belonged to the Baly family since 1977. This 13th-century English fortress housed the stables of Château d'
Yquem, today transformed into a winery. This first
grand cru is considered one of the two lords of the Barsac along with Château
Climens. This Château Coutet vintage is very successful. A beautiful aromatic complexity with notes of candied fruit, juicy yellow fruits and honey, it offers a bold, rich and concentrated palate. It has that Barsac spark. Ready to drink, it is built to last and requires a few more years to develop. A really great success!
