CHATEAU D'ARMAILHAC 2009 - 5EME CRU CLASSE

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Pauillac AOC / 13,5 % vol

A 5th Growth of undeniable quality, combining strength and softness!
A neighbour of Mouton Rothschild, Château d'Armailhac has belonged to the Rothschild family since 1933. With the same technical team as Mouton Rothschild, the wines nevertheless assert their personality. With a dark and intense red colour, Château d'Armailhac reveals a rich nose, with a beautiful freshness, which combines aromas of very ripe red fruits and delicate roasted and vanilla notes. On the palate, the attack is powerful, frank with coated, ripe tannins of a perfectly regular grain, offering a very fine evolution. The wine is fleshy, enhanced by notes of lightly toasted wood and reveals an elegant and persistent finish. Combining strength and sweetness, this vintage is a major success for the Château and represents a wise purchase in this prestigious appellation. A remarkable wine!

CHÂTEAU D'ARMAILHAC

Château d'Armailhac is classified Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification. It is managed by the Mouton Rothschild team. Today, the Philippine Baroness and her children are in charge of the estate. The vineyard is located on gravelly hills close to Mouton Rothschild and Pontet-Canet. Château d'Armailhac is an excellent bargain for amateurs. The very reasonable price and the regularity make it a must.
