The Vineyards Barraud, owned by the family since the late nineteenth century, works on 2 AOCs : the Saint-Emilion Grand cru, a dense complex wine with melted tannins and the Bordeaux, a wine with finesse. Denis Barraud, who exploits the domaine since 1971 continues the philosophiy handed down from generation to generation with one single objective, which is a fully ripe grape in order to obtain the finest and most expressive wines possible.
"High Renaissance" is the little brother of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru "Château le Gravières" and of "Lynsolence". As the Guide Hachette, we really had a crush on this wine because of the very ripe fruit, the notes of breeding and its creamy and tender side.
